New York Rangers Open Thread: Rangers Vs. Blue Jackets

New York Rangers vs Columbus Blue Jackets open game thread.

The New York Rangers will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight in their first meeting at Metropolitan Division opponents. This will also be the first get together between these two teams since the two blockbuster trades that went down over the last year or so. It will be Marian Gaborik, Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, and Fedor Tyutin going up against Derick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore, and Anton Stralman. Rick Nash would also be returning to Columbus tonight for the first time, had he not been sidelined with post-concussion symptoms.

Cam Talbot will be getting the start for the Rangers, while Sergei Bobrovsky starts at the opposite end of the ice for the Blue Jackets.

If there's anyone that wanted to prove their prior organization wrong, it would be Derick Brassard. He had a rough ending to his time in Columbus, and he's been a solid player thus far for the Rangers. He's hit a bit of a cold streak over the last handful of games, and tonight would be a good night to get back on track.
