New York Rangers Practice Updates: Callahan Cleared For Contact; No Update On Girardi

Following the New York Rangers practice this morning it was noted that captain Ryan Callahan was cleared for contact.

The New York Rangers concluded their practice this morning where captain Ryan Callahan joined them for his second straight day. Callahan was wearing a non-contact jersey on again and was finally cleared for contact. He also stated that he has no restrictions when shooting the puck or taking hits during practice. While Callahan said he would like to come back as soon as possible, he wants to make sure he is 100% to prevent further injury. We will likely see Cally back in the lineup over the next couple of games.

Dan Girardi was also absent from the optional practice this morning after being a late scratch for last nights game against the New Jersey Devils. It is still unknown what type of injury Girardi is nursing as all Tortorella said was that he is "banged up". Girardi is still questionable for tomorrow's game against the New York Islanders, and will likely be a game time decision based on the morning skate.

That's all we've heard as of now. We will update tomorrow on what happens.
