Game #13: Boston Bruins vs New York Rangers

After failing to defend home ice against the Boston Bruins two nights ago, the Rangers will get another kick at the can tonight. However, they’ll need to get back in the win column without the help of Artemiy Panarin. After suffering a lower body injury on Wednesday, the Russian superstar has been deemed day-to-day.

In Panarin’s place, Colin Blackwell will return to the lineup. Blackwell began the season on New York’s taxi squad, eventually made his way into the lineup, and recorded points in his first three games as a Blueshirt before leaving his fourth due to an injury. Not to say Blackwell’s return makes up for the absence of Panarin, but he’ll help.

Player to Watch: Mika Zibanejad

Mika Zibanejad ended the 2019-20 season on an unprecedented goal scoring pace. After scoring 17 goals in the final 13 games prior to the regular season’s conclusion, Zibanejad hasn’t been the same player since then. He scored one goal in the Toronto bubble in August, and has only found the back of the net once in 12 games so far this season.

In spite of that, Zibanejad was one of New York’s most active players on Wednesday, and was denied on multiple quality scoring chances by Tuukka Rask. Look for Zibanejad to get of the schneid tonight and tally his first goal since January 19th.

Enjoy the game!
