Game #19: Boston Bruins vs New York Rangers Open Thread

With football season in the rear view mirror, Sunday afternoon hockey is on the docket for today. After dominating the Boston Bruins en route to a 6-2 victory on Friday night, the Rangers will clash with their Original Six foe for the second time in three days.

Roughly 2,000 fans were in attendance for Friday night’s thumping, and the same number of attendees are expected to be in the stands for today’s contest. Both David Quinn and his players spoke positively on the impact of having fans in the building again, and the residents of Rangerstown will be out in full force to support their team again today.

Player to Watch: Chris Kreider

Having scored five goals in his last three games, the rumors of Kreider’s decline have been greatly exaggerated thus far. With Artemiy Panarin’s continued absence, Kreider has stepped up and but the Blueshirts on his backs over the last handful of games. Look for another strong effort out of the Massachussetts native today.

Enjoy the game!
