Game #25: New York Rangers vs Boston Bruins Open Thread

After dropping a pair of games to the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Rangers playoff hopes are on life support, and the Boston Bruins could be the team that pulls the plug. These Original Six rivals are meeting once again for a two game set in Boston, and the Rangers will need to come away with two victories in order to avoid falling hopelessly far our of the playoff race.

Alexandar Georgiev spent a majority of the last two games on New York’s bench, getting pulled after the first period of the team’s first contest with Pittsburgh and spending the second game backing up Keith Kinkaid. In spite of the rough patch he’s currently going through, the Bulgarian netminder will need to shake off last game’s struggles and play lights out tonight.

Player to Watch: K’Andre Miller

As Miller continues to trudge along during his rookie season, tonight’s matchup with Boston will be a good test for the young defender. With the Bruins having last change as the home team, Bruce Cassidy will have his pick of which forwards he wants going against Miller’s defensive pair. Look for a strong effort out of him tonight.

Enjoy the game!
