Rangers Assign Tim Gettinger to Hartford Wolf Pack

Gettinger sent back to Hartford after one game played.

Tim Gettinger was recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack on Friday, and he suited up for Saturday’s loss vs. the Washington Capitals. Gettinger logged just 7:00 of icetime, and the team announced his demotion to the Wolf Pack after the game.

Hartford is home tonight vs. the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and they do not play again until December 1, so it appears Gettinger is being demoted because Mats Zuccarello will be good to go on Monday vs. the Ottawa Senators.

The Blueshirts will then have two days off in a row before playing vs. the Senators on Thursday in Ottawa. They then play again on Saturday in Montreal vs. the Canadiens before returning home for a Sunday contest vs. the Winnipeg Jets.

This is a long way of saying that the Rangers will have time to make another recall in the event Zuccarello needs to come out of the lineup again. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
