Georgiev is making his eighth start of the season for the Rangers, and looking to continue his current streak of play. The Blueshirts’ backup had a rough start to the season — 1-1-0, .883 SV% and 4.56 GAA in October— but in November he posted a stat line of 3-2-0 with a .915 SV% and a 2.47 GAA.
The Bell Centre is where Georgiev made his first NHL start on February 22, 2018, and in that game he made 38 saves in a 3-1 loss. The Rangers play again on Sunday vs. the Winnipeg Jets, and this is David Quinn’s way of giving Hank a break and forcing him to play in a back-to-back scenario.
Enjoy the game!
