Letteri has been up and down with the Rangers this season, and has played pretty well for the Hartford Wolf Pack. He has appeared in 37 games with the Pack this season, tallying 14 goals and nine assists for 23 points.
The Rangers first called up Letteri on December 28, and overall he’s appeared in 16 games scoring one goal and adding four assists for five points. He was sent back to Hartford of February 16, and was kept off the score sheet in the two games he played.

The addition of Letteri puts the Rangers at 23 overall contracts, and his recall could be because of an injury, illness or an impending trade. Pierre LeBrun reported that business is starting to pick up with Michael Grabner.
Action definitely picking up on Rangers' Grabner. Cheap cap hit. Teams coming harder at NYR today it seems...

I wouldn’t be surprised if Grabner held out of tonight’s game vs. the Montreal Canadiens and tomorrow’s game vs. the Minnesota Wild. That alone would explain the move even though Paul Carey is around and healthy.
Right now all we know is Lettieri is back with the team, and speculation on why he’s back will continue until an announcement from the coaching staff or a corresponding move is made.
