Note From Callahan: Stop Mindlessly Booing Rozsival

When asked about the Garden crowd reigning down on Michal Rozsival, Ryan Callahan had this to say:

"You can hear it. It's a lot of people screaming. You definitely can hear it," said Callahan, whose first goal of the season in the second period was the game-winner. "It's unfortunate. I know it gets under my skin a bit when it happens.

"It's disappointing to hear the boos come from the stands. We know in this room that he means a lot to us and we know what he does. It's unfortunate that he gets that kind of reception in our building. I don't think it's right and I don't think he should."

Cally deserves an "atta boy" for sticking up for his 'mate in the media. It's a sign of good things that Cally has the sand to say what needs to be said when asked about Rozsival. I may be in the minority on this view, but I see a future captain of the Rangers in Ryan Callahan.

As for Rozsival, the guy doesn't deserve to hear boos from the Garden faithful. Yeah, he makes a bit too much money but fans sometimes seem to confuse him with Wade Redden. The fact of the matter is, Rozsival has played exceptionally well the past few games and shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable on his home ice.. especially after he was being announced for assisting on a scoring a goal.

Now don't get me wrong, I have no qualms with letting a guy no he's playing like garbage - but there is no reason to be on Rozys case right now. Keep in mind, this is coming from a guy who has been hoping Rozsival will be traded for the past 3 years; mostly because I never thought Redden would actually be waived, but nonetheless I'm not a Rozsival fan by any means.

Kudos to Ryan Callahan and enough mindlessly booing Rozsival. We're not Flyers fans, we're supposed to be intelligent.
