After winning the first preseason game, the New York Rangers will play tonight at Madison Square Garden for the first time this season. While Sunday's matchup consisted primarily of younger players, today's game will feature more veterans, including Will Cuylle, Adam Fox, Vladislav Gavrikov, and Igor Shesterkin.

Tonight will be the first time we get to see Fox and Gavrikov play as a pair, something fans have been excited for since Gavrikov's arrival. Gavrikov projects to be the best partner Fox has had during his career, which would allow Fox to maximize his skillset. Gabe Perreault and Scott Morrow both remain in the lineup after each one scored a goal against the Devils. Perrault will stay on the team's first power play unit and will look to continue to show off his excellent hockey IQ. Perrault will strive to keep up his strong performance as he fights for a spot on the team's opening night roster.

Player to Watch: Scott Morrow

Morrow performed well in the first preseason game against the Devils, contributing on both sides of the ice. Since being acquired as part of the K'Andre Miller deal, he has been one of the Blueshirts' top prospects. With Fox in tonight's lineup, we will most likely see Morrow on the second power play unit. Depending on how the remaining preseason games go, Morrow could end up on either the Hartford Wolf Pack or the Rangers. A good performance may be enough to get him a spot on the third line; however, the team may want to keep him in the AHL until a larger role opens up for him.

Enjoy the game!
