Rangers Make First Round of Cuts: Brady Skjei, Dylan McIlrath Remain
The Rangers made their first round of cuts today.
The New York Rangers made their first round of cuts this morning, and there wasn't a single surprise on the list. See the full list below:

That means Brady Skjei, Dylan McIlrath and Oscar Lindberg are all getting a longer, harder look.
I will say, though, Skjei not being included in Tuesday's pre-season loss/tie to the Flyers is a major positive now that he's safe. Alain Vigneault said he wanted to take a harder look at some players by giving them the nod in the back-to-back set and Skjei was not included. Apparently he had done enough in the win over the Devils to earn a harder look.
The Rangers also seemingly saw enough in Kirill Kabanov, Ryan Graves and Adam Tambellini to keep them around. I'm all for giving Kabanov and Graves another pre-season game while Tambellini is probably benefiting from testing his skills against professionals in practice.
Thoughts?
