Rangers News: Potter Recalled, Del Zotto Doubtful for Sunday

Andrew Gross is reporting on Twitter that the New York Rangers have recalled defenseman Corey Potter from the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL) earlier this morning. This means rookie blue-liner Michael Del Zotto is very doubtful to play in tomorrow's game against the Tampa Bay Lightning at Madison Square Garden.

As you know, Del Zotto, playing in just his second shift of the tilt, fell on Pittsburgh forward Evgeni Malkin's skate in in last night's game at the Igloo. Team doctors on the scene patched Michael up with a total of fifty stitches. Del Zotto mentioned that he did not feel good and that the cut was "gross".

This from Andrew Gross:

NYRangers recall D Corey Potter from Hartford (AHL). No way Michael Del Zotto plays tomorrow vs. Lightning.
