Rangers Officially Sign Pavel Dorofeyev to Seven-Year, $77 Million Contract
It's official: Pavel Dorofeyev is a Ranger for the next seven years at $11 million AAV—making him the highest-paid skater on the roster.
It was first reported later in the evening of round one of the NHL Draft after the New York Rangers had acquired the 25-year-old winger from Vegas, but the team has made it official today: Pavel Dorofeyev is a New York Ranger, and will be for the next seven years. And as was initially reported, his contract carries an AAV of $11 million.

Furthermore, it appears that the contract will contain a full no-movement clause starting in 2028-29, eventually turning to a partial no-trade list further down the road.
#NYR make the Pavel Dorofeyev contract official. He's ineligible for trade protection in the first two years, but I'm told a full NMC will kick in 2028-29 and modify to a partial no-trade list toward the end of the deal.

This officially makes Dorofeyev the highest paid skater on the team, and the second-highest paid player on the roster. Even with the high AAV and trade protection, this is great business for the Rangers. Dorofeyev is an instant top-line option and is coming off a remarkable playoff run with the Vegas Golden Knights, collecting 12 goals and four assists for 16 points in 22 games played.
Welcome to New York, Dorofeyev!
