Dylan Garand joins the Rangers as goaltending insurance as Jonathan Quick was banged up in a collision with Michael Carcone at the end of last night's 3-2 loss in Utah. In 11 games played this season, Garand has a record of 3-6-2 with a save percentage of 0.897 and a goals against average of 2.95.
With J.T. Miller listed as day-to-day, Brett Berard joins the mix in the event that Miller needs to miss more time. In 17 games played with Hartford this season, Berard has collected two goals and seven assists for a total of nine points.
Additionally Will Borgen, who has been day-to-day as of late has been moved to IR retroactive to Nov. 18. With Morrow being sent back to Hartford, the Rangers will only carry six defenseman going into Monday Night's meeting with the St. Louis Blues. One of Matthew Robertson or Urho Vaakanainen will be forced to play the right side.
