The biggest names headed to Rookie Camp include forward Brennan Othmann, forward Gabe Perreault, and defenseman Scott Morrow.
Othmann, the 16th overall pick in 2021, is coming off an injury-plagued season that caused him to play just 49 games between the Rangers and Hartford Wolf Pack. He'll get the chance to dominate during Rookie Camp as he eyes a regular spot on the Rangers' roster.
Perreault, the 23rd overall pick in 2023, is attending his first Rookie Camp after inking an entry-level contract with the Blueshirts on March 31st. The multi-time World Junior Championship gold medalist will open his rookie season in contention for a roster spot as well.
Morrow, the 40th overall pick in 2021, was acquired by the Rangers in July in the deal that sent K'Andre Miller to Carolina. He split the 2024-25 season between the Hurricanes and Chicago Wolves, appearing in 66 total contests. Morrow will also have a chance to crack the Rangers' opening night roster.
Other notable players attending Rookie Camp include forward Noah Laba, who inked an entry-level contract with the Rangers in March; forward Dylan Roobroeck, who led the Wolf Pack with 20 goals last season; forward Adam Sykora, the 2022 second rounder (#63) who just turned 20 years old; forward Carey Terrance, acquired from Anaheim this offseason for Chris Kreider; and defenseman Jackson Dorrington, acquired from Vancouver in the trade that brought J.T. Miller back to New York.
Two members of the Rangers' 2025 draft class will attend Rookie Camp: defensemen Artem Gonchar (3rd round, #89) and Evan Passmore (6th round, #171).
Rookie Camp will begin on Wednesday, Sept. 10 and will run through Tuesday, Sept. 16. During camp, the Rangers will play two games against the prospects from the Philadelphia Flyers. The first game will be on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7:00 pm, with the second game on Saturday, Sept. 13 at 5:00 pm.
The games will take place at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA, home of the Flyers' AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. Per the Flyers' press release, both games will be streamed on PhiladelphiaFlyers.com.
