Rangers sign Dawson Leedahl
The New York Rangers announced Monday they have signed undrafted free agent winger Dawson Leedahl. Coming off a 35-54-89 season with the Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League in 71 games, which was good for 3rd in points on the team, but also led the team in penalty minutes (121).
I wrote about Dawson Leedahl. Here I talk about not only his stats but also what he may mean to the NYR philosophy https://t.co/hZzmnsc82m— Josh Khalfin (@Josh_Khalfin) May 9, 2017
Leedahl, 21 years old, is just the latest signing for GM Jeff Gorton, who has taken an aggressive run at poaching undrafted free agents this spring.
He wraps up his WHL career with 190 points in 297 games.
I'm no expert on Leedahl or the WHL but he seems pretty comparable to Ryan Gropp, atleast this season. pic.twitter.com/5M3TTUWcHf— Tobias Pettersson (@ManUtdTobbe) May 8, 2017
