We've agreed to terms with Glenn Gawdin on a two-year contract → https://t.co/MZB9xv59xL pic.twitter.com/AbA8vAJakO
A 6-1, 201 pound right-shot center from Richmond, British Columbia, Gawdin is 29 years old and was a fourth round draft pick by the St. Louis Blues in 2015 (116th overall). Gawdin had an excellent junior career as he finished his last season with the Swift Current Broncos with 125 points (56 goals, 69 assists) in just 67 games played. Gawdin added another 32 points in 24 playoff games which helped his team win the WHL championship that season.
Following that, Gawdin had back-to-back productive seasons with the Stockton Flames in the AHL before in appearing in seven games with Calgary in the 2020-21 season. While he's been an up and down player between the AHL and NHL ever since, his most recent NHL experience comes with the Anaheim Ducks where he appeared in just one game in the 2023-24 season.
However, he's been a consistent contributor in the AHL his entire career, as he is coming off three consecutive seasons of 50+ points with the San Diego Gulls and Ontario Reign. With Trey Fix-Wolansky signing with the Vancouver Canucks this off-season, the Wolf Pack were in need of another veteran that has proven capable of scoring at the AHL level. Gawdin, who is regarded as a smart, two-way forward that can skate and win face-off's, will certainly help Hartford out this season.
Gawdin was an impact right-shot forward with AHL Ontario in '25-26, scoring 51 points (16 g, 35 a) in 71 GP. He has three straight 50+ point AHL seasons and has hit the mark in four of his last five.

If he is in Hartford, he will be a key top-six cog for Jay Leach's team. https://t.co/J06ycb3kil
