Rangers Trade Chris Kreider, Draft Pick to Anaheim for Carey Terrance, Draft Pick
The Rangers ship their longest-tenured player to the Ducks, marking the end of an era in Rangers hockey.

We knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it hurt any less.
The New York Rangers have officially moved on from their longest tenured player in a trade that involves a pick swap and the Rangers getting a prospect, Carey Terrance, in return.
Trade details, per sources:

To #NHLDucks:
Chris Kreider
ANA 2025 4th Round Pick
To #NYR:
Carey Terrance
TOR 2025 3rd Round Pick
Rangers move up 15 spots in the #NHLDraft in the swap.
It appears that Chris Drury did Kreider a favor as several teams were interested in him but Anaheim was a preferred destination.
Heard that there were several teams talking Kreider with #NYR but Anaheim deal made the most sense to him. Ex-teammates, chance to play for Quenneville, good young group.

It's also important to note that the Rangers will not be retaining any salary in the trade and therefore have an extra $6.5 million in the budget as they continue to navigate their longest off-season in recent memory.
The Rangers all-time leader in playoff goals, third in regular season goals, in the top-ten of so many other categories, Chris Kreider has solidified his place in Rangers history forever. We'll have plenty of time to give this player his flowers all summer long but for now, all we'll say is thank you for all the memories and we wish him nothing but the best in Anaheim.
