Rangers vs. Blues: Miller High Life

A win is a win, but it’s hard to feel great about needing overtime to beat a broken St. Louis lineup, especially when the Rangers’ offensive problems look as unresolved as ever.

  • I'm sorry if this is a little bit of my raining on the parade here, but don't color me all that impressed that the New York Rangers managed to squeak by a decimated St. Louis Blues team by a single goal in overtime. I'm glad they won, I'm super happy Gabe Perreault scored his first NHL goal, I loved the kids, and that's about where it ends. I'm not sure how I am supposed to feel about this.
  • Mainly because this team continues in their inability to score goals.
  • The Rangers were out-shooting St. Louis by 15 shots. It twisted a little in the third period where the Rangers did that fun little thing where they decide not to shoot the puck at all. But it's been a mixed bag of "on one hand the process is absolutely working, but on the other hand can it really be working if the team isn't scoring."
