Rangers Vs. Capitals: Open Game Thread

Use this as your open game thread.

The New York Rangers haven't played a meaningful game in about two weeks, but they finally know where they'll start their run to the 2017 Stanley Cup: Montreal.

Tonight, however, the Rangers face Washington and future-Ranger Kevin Shattenkirk. It will be the Rangers second-to-last road game before taking on the Penguins in their regular season finale.

Some game notes:

- Ryan McDonagh, Mats Zuccarello, Jesper Fast and Rick Nash all took the day off yesterday for maintenance. Those four players will not play tonight in Washington.

- That means we get Pavel Buchnevich back in the lineup, and Matt Puempel and Brandon Pirri. My guess is Kevin Klein remains in the defensive lineup.

- Brady Skjei is a single point away from a 40-point rookie season. Think about that for a minute.

Enjoy the game. Be nice. Maybe watch Washington and be thankful the Rangers won't have to play them until the ECF (if both advance that far).
