The Rangers need to beat the Devils to leave some wiggle room as they gun for a playoff spot.
While it's true, the Rangers need to go 3-1 to secure a playoff spot, tonight's matchup feels like a must win. If the Rangers get a win tonight of any kind (regulation, overtime or shootout) they also get the added bonus of eliminating the Devils from playoff contention.
Not that you needed another reason to want the Rangers to win tonight.
