Rangers vs. Islanders: Preseason Stock Report
Another OT win, another showcase for the kids: Laba keeps pushing, Perreault dazzles, and Othmann’s window may have closed.

The New York Rangers beat the New York Islanders in overtime Monday night, thanks to a beautiful play by two of the kids vying for a spot on this hockey team.

What Else Do You Want The Man To Do?
Noah Laba
What more do you want me to say here? Seriously, what message are you sending (if you're Chris Drury or Mike Sullivan) if Laba does not make this team out of camp? What else does he need to do? He has five points in four games, has looked absolutely comfortable against all manner of opponent (including an NHL-heavy Islanders squad Monday night), and 100 percent fits the mold of the third line center the team is looking for right now. It's a great spot for him to grow and learn the game, and potentially get spoon-fed some minutes that help him develop as we'd like to see him develop.
