Rangers Vs. Leafs: Open Game Thread
The New York Rangers need a win, and they need one bad. Enter the Maple Leafs, who are actually sneaky good.
The New York Rangers need a win in the worst way. They've started off the year playing a very good Pittsburgh Penguins team (lost 6-3) and facing a possibly better Boston Bruins team (lost 3-1 and then won 4-3 in overtime) before losing to the shorthanded Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 on Thursday.
The Toronto Maple Leafs enter Madison Square Garden 2-2 on the year and looking for a win to put them over .500 on the season.
The Rangers found what made them successful last year in the win over the Bruins. Against the Flyers those moments came in short bursts but I simply thought the team looked tired.
Tonight there shouldn't be any excuses, though. The Rangers need a win.
