Details about "NWHL Live: Cross-Ice Pass" streaming service, which will be paid service, still have yet to be released by the league despite the season being less than 48 hours away, but watching the Riveters' first game of the season this Sunday against the Connecticut Whale in Stamford, Connecticut won't cost you a dime!

That's right, the New York Riveters' first game will be broadcast for free via YouTube this Sunday at 1:30 PM EST. The game is not only the first of the Riveters' and Connecticut Whale's season, it is also the first regular season game in the history of the NWHL. All four teams faced off against hockey clubs outside of the league in their preseason games, so the game on Sunday afternoon will be the first time we will see true NWHL hockey with the first paid professional female hockey players in North American history.

Late last night the NWHL teased that they were close to having web streaming figured out with the following tweet:

After the Riveters' game the Boston Pride and the Buffalo Beauts will be facing off at 3:30 PM EST to play the second game of the NWHL's inaugural season. As of yet, there are no details about that game being streamed via YouTube or anywhere else on the web, which is a bit surprising.

A season ticket plan, $150 for general admittance, will give fans a 10% discount on the NWHL's streaming service when it goes on sale. After Sunday's game against Kelli Stack and the Connecticut Whale, the NWHL's "Cross-Ice Pass" streaming service will be the best way for fans who can't get tickets and travel to watch the Riveters' remaining 8 road games for the 2015-16 season.

The URL for the stream has yet to be announced. Blueshirt Banter will have a pregame thread that will double as a game day thread and postgame recap for the Riveters' season opener.

Note: If any more details about this story emerge, this article will be updated.

Thanks for reading. Let's go Riveters.
