This tweet, which came today and was posted around 1:00PM EST, was posted by Sydney Kidd and suggests that the Canadian-born skater is finally on her way to New York to play with the Riveters on Brooklyn's NWHL team.
Sydney Kidd played five years of college hockey with the Western Mustangs, four of which were on the blue line. Much like Riveters' teammate Erin Barley-Maloney Kidd is a versatile player that can play both forward and defense. It will be interesting to see how Sydney Kidd is used by head coach Chad Wiseman but a safe bet is that Kidd will be playing on the Riveters' blue line.
At 5'8" Kidd has very good size and she is one of a few Canadian-born players on the New York Riveters roster. In fact, it is the fact that she is Canadian-born that has caused her to get a late start to her NWHL season.

The Riveters next game is November 15th at the Aviator Sports and Events Center against Hilary Knight, Brianna Decker, and the Boston Pride.
Let's go Riveters.
