Stanley Cup Playoffs Day 1 Open Thread

The Stanley Cup Playoffs begin tonight, and the matchups are as follows:

Philadelphia Flyers vs Pittsburgh Penguins: Game 1, 19:00 EDT (NBCSN)

Minnesota Wild vs Winnipeg Jets: Game 1, 19:00 EDT (CNBC)

Los Angeles Kings vs Vegas Golden Knights: Game 1, 22:00 EDT (NBCSN)

Predictions:

Pittsburgh starts their quest for a three-peat on the right foot, and pulls out a 4-2 victory

Winnipeg looks like the Stanley Cup contender they are, and Minnesota looks like the team ravaged by injuries that they are en route to a 3-0 win for the Jets.

The lights are a little too bright for Vegas, and they come out flat against a Kings’ team that knows what it takes to win playoff hockey games. Los Angeles takes this one 4-1.
