Traverse City Tournament: Schedule, Roster, How to Watch
Good news for those of you who want to catch up on the New York Rangers first actual hockey action of the year: The Detroit Red Wings will be broadcasting the Traverse City Tournament on their website!
This is amazing news, since in the past we’ve been subjected to trying to follow the beat reporters who made the trip on Twitter. Obviously actually watching the games is preferred, and the Red Wings have come through in the clutch.
New York Rangers Schedule:
9/16: Rangers Vs. Carolina 4 p.m.
9/17: Rangers Vs. Dallas 3:30 p.m.
9/19: Rangers Vs. Minnesota 3 p.m.
From there the playoffs start on Tuesday, 9/20. Full schedule and playoff formatting can be viewed here. The first three games are in a round robin format before crossing over on the final day of the tournament (the playoffs).
We covered the Rangers full roster here, but most people will be excited to get their first look at Pavel Buchnevich and Jimmy Vesey. You can throw Robin Kovacs, Sean Day, Ty Ronning and Malte Stromwall onto that list as well.
We’ll open a game thread for all the Rangers events in the tournaments, but for now use this as your viewing information/pre-game!
