Wolf Pack Blow Lead, Fall to Rocket 4-2
The Wolf Pack were unable to finish out a strong start, snapping their four-game point streak.
After a pair of tough losses last weekend, the Hartford Wolf Pack aimed to return to the win column on Friday night. They made their first trip north of the border, visiting the Laval Rocket for the only time this season.
The Wolf Pack carried a lead into the final period of action. However, they wouldn't be able to hold it. The Rocket found the net three times in the final 20 minutes to secure a 4-2 decision.
Pure Briss
The Wolf Pack dominated the opening period of play, outshooting Laval by a 12-2 margin. However, Laval netminder Jacob Fowler managed to keep them off the board for much of the frame.
Hartford finally beat Fowler in the final minutes of the first period. With Florian Xhekaj in the box for roughing, Brett Berard fired a long shot that Fowler made the initial save on. The puck rested in the crease, allowing Brendan Brisson to crash down and tap it into the net to break the ice.

The goal was Brisson's second of the season, and it sent the game into the first intermission with the Wolf Pack up by one.
Garand Larceny
The Rocket started hot in the middle frame, firing the period's first four shots on Dylan Garand. However, the fourth-year goaltender stood tall, highlighted by an absolute robbery of Jared Davidson for one of the best saves of the season thus far.

Garand's impressive save kept the Wolf Pack in front early in the frame.
Davidson would get revenge about eight minutes later. With Carey Terrance in the box for holding the stick, Davidson sniped a shot by Garand's glove to tie the score at one.
Scotty Knows Goals
The Wolf Pack struck back just over 14 minutes into the period. Former Wolf Pack forward Alex Belzile took a slashing call, sending the Wolf Pack to their fourth power play of the night. On the man advantage, Scott Morrow put Hartford back in front, rifling a shot by a screened Fowler.

The goal was Morrow's first as a member of the Wolf Pack. It was also their second power play goal of the evening, the first time the Wolf Pack have struck on the power play twice in the same game this season.
Morrow's tally would send the game into the second intermission with Hartford in front by a 2-1 margin.
Rocket Takes Off

The Rocket tied the contest just 47 seconds into the final frame. Joshua Roy took a pass from Laurent Dauphin and picked his corner to draw the teams even at two.
Laval took their first lead of the game just over 14 minutes into the game. Derrick Pouliot was whistled for a weak spearing call, forcing the Wolf Pack to kill off a double minor. Just 30 seconds into the power play bid, Belzile burned his old team, burying a rebound by Garand to put the Rocket up 3-2.
Hartford pushed for the equalizer late, by Tobie Bisson delivered the dagger with an empty net goal with just seconds to play. The tally secured a 4-2 win for Laval.
With the loss, the Wolf Pack's four-game point streak was snapped. They secured six points (2-0-2-0) in the stretch.
