After spoiling a potential clinch in Springfield last night, the Hartford Wolf Pack wrapped up their final three-in-three of the campaign on Sunday evening. They traveled to Bridgeport, visiting the Islanders for the final regular season home game at Total Mortgage Arena.

The Wolf Pack opened the scoring, but they were unable play spoiler for the second straight night. Bridgeport notched four unanswered goals to take a 4-1 decision in the final regular season home game in Bridgeport.

Bryce-ly Done

Just over a minute into the contest, the Wolf Pack tallied the icebreaker. Anton Blidh knocked down an errant pass in the offensive zone and curled towards the net. Blidh slipped the puck to Bryce McConnell-Barker, and the second-year forward ripped a shot over the shoulder of Marcus Högberg to give the Wolf Pack the game's first lead.

The goal was McConnell-Barker's 13th of the season, as well as his ninth point through his last 10 games.

However, the Islanders would strike back twice in the opening frame. Matthew Maggio tied the game, stuffing home a power play goal in the waning seconds of the man advantage. Ethan Bear followed up just over five minutes later, snapping a shot from the right circle that beat Spencer Martin to put the home side in front.

The period ended with 1:27 to play thanks to a glass issue, and the Islanders kept the 2-1 lead as the teams headed into their respective locker rooms.
