Wolf Pack Recap: Growing Pains
The Wolf Pack dropped three games last week, but a trio of strong performances indicates better things to come.
Welcome to Wolf Pack Recap, a weekly column exclusively at Blueshirt Banter. Each week, we'll review the Hartford Wolf Pack's previous week, highlight top performances, and preview the upcoming slate.
The Hartford Wolf Pack continued to march through the opening month of AHL action this week. They hosted a divisional matchup at the PeoplesBank Arena on Wednesday night before hitting the road for a pair of games in Charlotte on the weekend.
The Wolf Pack put up three strong efforts on the week, but they simply weren't rewarded for their performances. The Wolf Pack went 0-3-0-0 in the stretch, but there's a lot to like about their game as they navigate the early season.
Let's take a look back at the Wolf Pack's week.
- The Wolf Pack kicked off the season with three straight road games. They then followed that up with three straight home games. Wednesday night's contest was the third and final game of the homestand.
- Hartford welcomed the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to town, a rematch from opening night in Allentown. The Wolf Pack won that game 5-2.
- From puck drop, you could tell this was going to be a tight game. Both teams played with initiative.
- The Wolf Pack got a couple of early chances on the power play, but they couldn't find the icebreaker. They also got a big penalty kill late in the opening frame.
- For the first time at home this season, the Wolf Pack failed to score first. The Phantoms converted off an odd-man rush to put them ahead late in the middle frame. Hartford had broken the ice in each of their previous two home games.
- Who else but Taylor Raddysh? The veteran forward shoveled a backhander that found the back of the net to tie the game just a minute after the Phantoms scored.

- The goal kept Raddysh as a point-per-game player—he's got three goals and two assists through five games with the Wolf Pack.
- Cole Beaudoin picked up the primary assist on the goal. It's his team-leading fifth assist and sixth point of the campaign. Have a start, kid.
- Matthew Robertson earned the secondary helper. That's his first point as a member of the Wolf Pack since April 9, 2025, when he picked up the secondary assist on the icebreaking goal by Jaroslav Chmelar in a 3-2 win over the Bridgeport Islanders.
