Ryan McDonagh Better than Doubtful for Game Three Tonight

The Rangers are returning to the Garden and it appears that they might have a better chance of being joined by their captain than we thought they did...

After a brief flurry of news this morning from the Rangers' beat writers we are no closer to knowing whether or not we'll see Dylan McIlrath in the lineup after he saw just over nine minutes of ice time in Game Two or if we will see Raphael Diaz, who was recently called up from the AHL, in his place.

Interestingly enough, it appears that captain Ryan McDonagh, who participated in a full practice with the team yesterday but was considered "doubtful" for tonight's game, is now "better" than doubtful for Game Three.

And, just because Alain Vigneault is the sort of man that likes to watch the world burn...

The Rangers' captain will meet with doctors this afternoon and the outcome of that meeting(s) will decide whether or not he dresses tonight in Game Three at Madison Square Garden. He has been dealing with a hand injury after blocking a shot against the Blue Jackets in early April that is suspected to be a broken hand.

In other words, it appears that some tea leaves need to be read and a Magic 8-Ball needs to be given a good shake to find out who the Rangers will have on their blue line tonight.

We'll keep you updated as news on this story develops.
