Pittsburgh at Washington
Game 1 - Series tied 0-0

For the first time in seven years Sid the Kid and Alex O meet head-to-head in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. That series was also in the second round. Pittsburgh won four games to three, with Crosby and Ovechkin combining for a total of 27 points. The Penguins went on to defeat Detroit in the Finals and won their third Stanley Cup trophy.

Washington, the reigning Presidents Trophy winner, came back to earth a bit to end the season and at times seemed to struggle against the Flyers in the first round before defeating them in six games.

Pittsburgh, on the other hand, ended the season as the hottest team in the league and, in case you missed it, easily disposed of the Rangers in five.

The stage is set. Crosby and Malkin.  Ovi and Holtby. How do you see this series going?
