Rangers Agree To Terms With John Gilmour

The New York Rangers have agreed to a one-year deal with John Gilmour. Gilmour had five points in 28 NHL games last year, to go along with 26 points in 44 AHL games. Gilmour is expected to fight for one of the few remaining spots on the Rangers’ defense next year.

As you can see above, this closes out the lesser of the RFA issues the Rangers have in front of them. With all that out of the way: Kevin Hayes, Brady Skjei, Ryan Spooner, and Jimmy Vesey remain for Jeff Gorton to lock up — or in the case of Spooner, find a late trading partner.

More when we know it.
