We finally got clarity on the Matt Beleskey injury from his fight against the Devils — he has separated his shoulder and could miss as much as four weeks.

Beleskey was fighting for a roster spot on the team’s fourth line this preseason, and most felt he was pushing himself into the conversation. The hope — from me at least — was Beleskey would remove any notion of Cody McLeod making it into the lineup, but now that remains to be seen.
