Game #33: Nashville Predators vs New York Rangers Open Thread

After a week away from Broadway, the Rangers are set to return to Madison Square Garden. After earning five points in four games from Nevada to California, the Blueshirts will skate in their fifth consecutive interconference contest tonight. Roman Josi, Ryan Johansen, and the rest of the Nashville Predators are set to come into the world’s most famous arena tonight, and they’re looking for two points.

David Quinn’s squad took the first game of the season series between these teams back on November 2nd. A 32 save effort from Alexandar Georgiev and goals from Filip Chytil and Ryan Strome propelled the Rangers to a 2-1 victory down in the Music City that day, and the Rangers wouldn’t mind a repeat situation tonight.

Player to Watch: Chris Kreider

With the rumors surrounding Taylor Hall’s pending departure from the New Jersey Devils ramping up, more attention around the league will turn to Chris Kreider. Although his play isn’t quite up to his usual lofty standards, Kreider is still the top potential rental winger option aside from Hall. If his days in New York are numbered, (and hopefully they aren’t) you should take every opportunity to keep an eye on Kreider.

Enjoy the game!
