It’s draft day.
The 2020 NHL Draft, which will be conducted via video conference calls to the NHL Network Studios in Secaucus, NJ, begins tonight at 7:00 p.m. ET. Heading into tonight’s draft, the Rangers own the first overall pick and the 22nd overall pick. Tomorrow the Rangers will have to wait until the third round before they make their first pick, unless, of course a deal is struck.

14. Edmonton Oilers
15. Toronto Maple Leafs (from Pittsburgh)

20. New Jersey Devils (from Vancouver, Tampa Bay)
22. New York Rangers (from Carolina)
26. St. Louis Blues
27. Anaheim Ducks (from Boston)
28. Ottawa Senators (from NYI)
30. Dallas Stars
31. San Jose Sharks (from Tampa Bay)
Rounds 2 through 7 of the draft will be held tomorrow, kicking off at 11:00 a.m. ET on NHL Network. On Day Two, the Rangers have the 72nd, 92nd, 103rd, 134th, 165th, 196th, 197th, and the 206th pick. Yes, that’s three picks in Round 7.
