IMPORTANT UPDATE: After giving it a week of less links per post on Bantering Points, I’ve come to a decision regarding these bits for the remainder of the season. BP will be posted on days where I feel enough stories have been published to warrant a post, OR, when the site has no stories scheduled. This allows for there to always be a minimum of one new piece posted per day as many readers have expressed a desire for, as well checks my box of feeling that these pieces serve a purpose even if the links aren’t plentiful.
Here are today’s news and links:
Rangers News:
- Colin Stephenson hears that among Rangers’ fans, Artemiy Panarin has earned more than just the team MVP (Newsday)
- Nathaniel Oliver reminisces on Sergei Zubov’s 1993-94 campaign for the Blueshirts (The Hockey Writers)
- Steve Paulus ponders whether or not Jacob Trouba should be kept beyond the remainder of the season (Blue Line Station)
Around the NHL:
- Ryan Dixon offers six possibilities for the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs to happen (Sportsnet)
- James O’Brien reports that the league’s board of governors is set to meet later today (NBC Sports)
- The Vegas Golden Knights inked defenseman Zach Whitecloud to a two year, $1.45 million contract extension (TSN)
