Game #9: New York Rangers vs Seattle Kraken Open Thread

After a pair of home games, the Rangers are back on the road for a Western Conference swing. While the western Canada trip is usually only a three game trip, the Blueshirts will be playing four games on this particular swing, as their first ever matchup with the Seattle Kraken is set for tonight.

Gerard Gallant coached the Vegas Golden Knights during their inaugural season as an expansion team, so he will be familiar with how Dave Hakstol is approaching his time behind Seattle’s bench. Having gone 4-0-0 on their previous four game road trip, the Blueshirts will look to repeat that record, and that starts with earning two points against the Kraken.

Player to Watch: Jarred Tinordi

Having sat the entirety of the season aside from opening night, Tinordi will draw into the lineup against the defensively stingy Kraken. Look for him to assert himself and bring an added element of physicality to New York’s blue line in a hostile road environment.

Enjoy the game!
