After getting clobbered by the New York Islanders to kick of the pre-season, the Rangers are shipping up to Boston for their second exhibition contest. With any luck, the Rangers can treat the Bruins like their baseball playing counterparts did and emerge with a victory from tonight’s action.
As is tradition with early pre-season contests, tonight’s lineup will consist of players that didn’t participate in Sunday night’s game. The lines from today’s morning skate should serve as the same combinations we’ll see tonight:
At the #NYR morning skate, here's what I'm seeing for tonight's lineup:
— Vince Z. Mercogliano (@vzmercogliano) September 28, 2021
Panarin - Strome - Kakko
Blais - Rooney - Reaves
Othmann - McKegg - Brodzinski
Gettinger - Richards - Pajuniemi
Miller - Trouba
Jones - Schneider
Hajek - Bitetto
Igor
Wall
Player to Watch: Brennan Othmann
With a majority of the Blueshirts’ roster already set for opening night, Othmann is all but destined to return OHL Flint for his first post-draft season. While there’s no set deadline cuts must be made aside from opening night, it wouldn’t be shocking to see the team make a round of cuts following the first two pre-season games, and Othmann could be in that group. Use tonight as an opportunity to see what the Rangers will be getting with their most recent first round selection.
Enjoy the game!
