Tonight the New York Rangers play their Metropolitan Division rival Carolina Hurricanes and it appears that Dominic Moore will be out of the lineup in exchange for youngster Emerson Etem.
So, the Rangers fourth line will be Jarret Stoll centering Jesper Fast and Emerson Etem while Dominic Moore, who is far too good to be a healthy scratch, will be a healthy scratch against Carolina. As per the embedded tweet above it appears that Alain Vigneault has the need to see Jarrett Stoll skate with two natural wingers and with Dominic Moore being a natural center that is something that cannot be accomplished while he is in the lineup. This is what one might call vexing.
Dylan McIlrath will be the other healthy scratch tonight and it appears that Rick Nash will be making his return to the Rangers after missing two games with a sore back. Nash was on the ice in a normal practice jersey yesterday and is projected to return to the lineup today on a line with Mats Zuccarello and Derick Brassard.
