Freaky Friday: The New York Rangers as New York Yankees
The final chapter of our Freaky Friday series transforms the Rangers into the Yankees—complete with power hitters, defensive wizards, and a bullpen built for drama.

It's our final Freaky Friday, as we conclude a summer series that, so far, as turned the New York Rangers into New York Mets, Mets to Rangers, and New York Yankees into Rangers.
Today, we wrap things up by turning the New York Rangers into New York Yankees. And then, we'll leave it up to you to answer the question: Could these Rangers/Yankees possibly be any more frustrating than the real-life Yankees?
With that said, here we go.
Starting Lineup
1) Artemi Panarin (CF)
Much like Chris's original Freaky Friday Rangers-to-Mets piece, we have Artemi Panarin batting leadoff for the Yankees. But whereas Chris had him at shortstop, we have him patrolling center field. Yankees fans of a certain age will remember the days when Bernie Williams was in center for the Yankees, and how he had a tendency to drift around a bit out there. Similarly, Panarin has a tendency to drift around a bit on the ice defensively. But, he consistently provides offense, so we have him setting the table in this lineup.
