Tonight is the last opportunity for the Rangers to find a win on their West Coast trip after losing to the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday. The Rangers have lost three straight and need to do everything in their power to get back in the win column. The Utah Mammoth are also in a bit of a slump, losing their last four games, and just as desperately need a win.
Blueshirts captain J.T. Miller will not play tonight due to an upper-body injury he suffered against the Avalanche. In net for the Rangers is Jonathan Quick, who boasts a .951 save percentage in five games played this season.
Player to Watch: Mika Zibanejad
Mika Zibanejad has silently been one of the Rangers' best players while on the ice and is coming off a two-assist night against the Avalanche. In the team's last eight games, Zibanejad has three goals and five assists while playing some of the best hockey we've seen from him in the last few seasons.
Despite coming off a two-goal performance, J.T. Miller has struggled and is now out of the lineup. Zibanejad must help fill the void and weather the storm as the captain gets healthy. Now, the question is, can Zibanejad keep up this level of play and help some of his teammates get out of their slump?
Enjoy the game!
