It's the first game since New York Rangers general manager Chris Drury released a memo stating that the team will be entering a retool. In the meantime the team must get ready to take on the Philadelphia Flyers for the second time this season. The Rangers rallied in the first game and came back to win 5-4 in a shootout. The Flyers, currently just outside of the playoffs, must win today to keep their season hopes alive.

Carson Soucy is not currently on the road trip, which led to the call-up of Connor Mackey from the Hartford Wolf Pack. Igor Shesterkin and Adam Fox both skated earlier this week but will not play in today's game. Nicolas Deslauriers is expected to be scratched after throwing a big hit on Brennan Othmann in their last outing.

Where to Watch

Cable/Network TV: MSG 2, NHL website, NHL app, and the Gotham Sports app

National Broadcast: ESPN+

Radio: 880 AM

Player to Watch: Artemi Panarin

Artemi Panarin's days with the Blueshirts are officially numbered. Following the statement from Drury yesterday, he met with the Breadman to tell him the team would not be offering him a contract extension and asked if there are any teams he would be willing to waive his no-movement clause for.

Panarin has remained the team's best offensive player this season with 51 points in 47 games this season. During his Rangers career, he has 601 points in 477 games since signing with the team ahead of the 2019-20 NHL season. Panarin will be remembered as an all-time Ranger and likely their best free agent signing, but it is time to take it all in before it is over.

Enjoy the game!
