It's the first New York Rangers game since the trade deadline and the first installment of the Hudson River rivalry. The Rangers are coming off a 6-2 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs and have earned points in their last four games. The New Jersey Devils also have momentum on their side with victories in their last three games.
Against the Maple Leafs, Sam Carrick and Vincent Trocheck were held out for roster-management purposes. While Carick was traded to the Buffalo Sabres, Trocheck will return to the lineup after general manager Chris Drury was unable to find a trade partner. The Devils will likely be without defenseman Brett Pesce, who did not play against the Maple Leafs.
Where to Watch
Cable/Network TV: ABC
National Broadcast: ESPN+
Radio: 880 AM
Player to Watch: Braden Schneider
There was plenty of speculation that the Blueshirts would trade Braden Schneider ahead of the trade deadline, but the pending restricted free agent will stay for at least the rest of the season. Head coach Mike Sullivan has also moved Scnedier onto the second pair with Will Borgen, giving the 24-year-old more opportunities.

While Schneider may not be having the prettiest season, in a lost season, giving the young defenseman more chances is the right move. Against the Maple Leafs, Schneider had the primary assist on the goal Will Cuylle tipped in. With Schneider's future up in the air, the remainder of this season will determine what the Rangers have in their former first-round pick.
