The Rangers are on the road and are set to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs in a battle between two teams that have nothing left to fight for but draft position. The Rangers have lost their last five games, most recently against the Ottawa Senators, where they only registered 10 shots on goal. The Maple Leafs are coming off a victory against the Boston Bruins.
Since their last game, the Rangers have recalled Adam Sykora from the Hartford Wolf Pack, and he will make his debut on a line with Vincent Trocheck and Will Cuylle. With Sykora making his debut, Adam Edstrom will come out of the lineup. With Conor Mackey being sent down, Vincent Iorio draws back into the lineup on the bottom pair with Matthew Robertson. Since the last time these two teams played, Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews suffered a season-ending lower-body injury.

Player to Watch: Adam Sykora
After spending three years, Sykora finally cracks the Rangers lineup. Sykora joined the Wolf Pack as an 18-year-old and is still one of the team's younger prospects at 21. In the AHL this season, he had 29 points, which is one away from his career high with Hartford.

Blueshirt Banter Hartford Wolf Pack Correspondent Keegan Jarvis commented Sykora's recall:
A lot of similarities to Tye Kartye. Aggressive forechecker, wins puck battles, elite penalty killer and shot blocker. He's having his best season in Hartford and he's still just 21. This is the perfect time to get him some NHL action.
Enjoy the game!
