Mats Zuccarello Signs With The New York Rangers
The Rangers have signed Mats Zuccarello.
Well, its been a really busy day for the Rangers. First they get news that Jesper Fast will come over on a loan and now this:
According to various reports from twitter the New York Rangers have signed Mats Zuccarello. Well, the team has at least offered him a contract, and his agent (if translate can be believed) expects things to go off without a hitch.
There has been talk about the Rangers bringing in Zuccarello to help add some offense and creativity to their playoff run, and now that's happened.Zuccarello has been with the Rangers before, playing here for two years befor signing with the KHL last year.
The Rangers need a spark on the offensive side of things and on the power play badly. Zuccarello provides both of those things. Something we've discussed in length is how the Rangers bottom six doesn't have enough depth or offensive creativity. Now with Zuccarello in the fold the Rangers have a guy who can be creative. Throw him with Chris Kreider and J.T. Miller and maybe we have something.
