Since the Stanley Cup has been awarded, the rest of the league is waking from their slumber and sending this offseason into full swing. The New York Rangers are no exception as they have been quite busy since trading Chris Kreider and extending Matt Rempe. They continue to take care of business with the announcement that Matthew Robertson has signed a 2-year contract extension with the team.

Robertson was one of the Rangers' pending restricted free agents heading into the offseason. A former second round pick, Robertson just made his NHL debut this year in a pair of throwaway games at the end of this abysmal season.
