New York Rangers News: Rangers And Cristoval "Boo" Nieves Agree To Terms
The Rangers locked down one of their NCAA prospects who had his season ended this weekend in the NCAA tournament.
The New York Rangers have agreed to an entry level contract with Cristoval "Boo" Nieves today.
NYR and Boo Nieves have agreed to terms on a two-year entry level contract. Will kick in next season. Nieves will go to HFD now on ATO.

Nieves was NYR 2nd round pick in 2012. 10G and 31 pts in senior year at Michigan. Could've gone UFA by waiting til Aug. 15 but opted for NY.

I'm working on clarification for the two year part of this entry level contract, but it's good to see the Rangers locking him down after his season was ended in the NCAA tournament. Nieves is a guy who has a ton of potential who really put things together in his final season at Michigan University. His stats (thanks to Elite Prospects) are embedded below.
Per McKenzie, Nieves will play the rest of the year in Hartford on an ATO so he doesn't burn a year off his entry level contract.
Thoughts on this guys? I'm curious to see what he looks like at the next level, personally.
UPDATE: Here's the two-year clarification
Entry level contracts are three years for players up to age 21. For 22- and 23-year-old's it's two years. Boo is 22. https://t.co/G27Rlui2AR
