Rangers Recall Goaltender Alexandar Georgiev from Hartford Wolf Pack
Georgiev is in his first season with the Pack.

The transaction was made because Ondrej Pavelec left Friday’s 4-3 victory over the Calgary Flames after the first period with a knee injury.

Georgiev made 43 saves in a 4-3 shootout victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday evening, and improved his stat line to 12-11-6 with a 2.97 GAA and .908 save percentage on the season.

More on Pavelec’s injury should be known after practice, but he isn’t expected to join the Rangers on their upcoming road trip.
