Open Game Thread: Rangers at Stars

I'm sure this will go absolutely swimmingly.

Tonight the Rangers look to turn things around in the Lone Star State against the dangerous Dallas Stars. The Blueshirts are 3-7-0 in their last ten games and the Stars have an 18-8-1 record on home ice. The Stars are the 8th highest-scoring team in the NHL this season and the Rangers... well, you know what the Rangers offense has looked like lately.

The Rangers will be without the services of skaters Jimmy Vesey and Marc Staal tonight. Both players were injured in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Nashville Predators. Vesey is out with a concussion and Staal has a cervical strain. So... we should just look at this as an opportunity to see what kind of organizational depth the Rangers have. Right?

New York comes into tonight's game two points out of a Wild Card spot in the Eastern Conference. The Stars are currently sitting in the top Wild Card spot of the Western Conference with a 30-19-4 record.
